Epsom is a town in North Surrey; it's the largest town in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell. It is most famous for its racecourse and in particular for the Epsom Derby, one of the UK's most prestigious flat races, held on the first Saturday in June.
Epsom is also the home of Epsom Salts, formerly produced by boiling down the local mineral water.
